In Loving Memory of Lainey Landry-obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lainey Landry, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. Lainey, who was just 16 years old, left us on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Her bright smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for animals touched the lives of everyone she met.

Lainey was a proud student at the Academy of Our Lady in Marrero, Louisiana, where she was an active member of the drama club and the volleyball team. Her passion for the arts and sports was matched only by her dedication to helping others, particularly through her volunteer work at the local animal shelter.

Lainey’s love for animals was evident in everything she did. She spent countless hours at the shelter, where she not only volunteered but also organized a successful fundraiser to help provide medical care for the animals. Her favorite companion at the shelter was a rescue dog named Buddy, who she affectionately called her “best friend.”

She is survived by her loving parents, John and Mary Landry, and her younger brother, Michael, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Lainey’s kindness and generosity inspired everyone who knew her. She had a way of making people feel seen and valued, and her legacy will continue to inspire acts of kindness in her community.

In honor of Lainey’s memory, the family has requested that donations be made to the local animal shelter, a cause that was close to her heart.

Lainey’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew her, and her legacy of kindness and compassion will live on.
