Katie Eller’s Family

“I ask everyone to please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. This afternoon, we suffered an unimaginable loss—my beautiful 37-year-old niece, Katie Eller, was tragically taken from us in a devastating car accident.

Our hearts are broken, and the grief is overwhelming. We especially ask for your prayers for her loving husband, Mark, and their precious children—Ava Grayce, Charlotte, Penelope, and little Liam. They are now facing life without their incredible wife and mother, and they need all the love and strength we can send their way.

Katie, I know you are now in the arms of your Nannie, Uncle Kevin Gladden, and all the loved ones who went before you. I find comfort in knowing you’re surrounded by their love in heaven—but the pain of your absence here on Earth is deep. You were such a bright light in our lives, and the void you leave behind cannot be measured.

You will be missed beyond words, Katie. We love you always.” a statement from Katie’s Aunty.

Tribute in honor of Katie Eller

Sending heartfelt prayers to Mark Eller and his beautiful children as they navigate the unimaginable loss of Katie Eller. The world has lost one of the kindest, most generous souls I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.

Katie was one of the very first people to welcome me when I moved to Atlanta. She didn’t hesitate to spend time with me, and I’ll always cherish the memories of us hanging out and just having an incredible time together. She made me feel seen, included, and supported—something I’ll never forget.

Her kindness wasn’t just in words—it was in action. When I left my job and found myself in a moment of uncertainty, unsure of what was next, Katie and Mark didn’t hesitate. They quietly and selflessly sent me money to help me stay on my feet, along with a thoughtful care package filled with love. That’s just who Katie was—someone who gave from the heart without expecting anything in return.

Even though we hadn’t seen each other in a few years because of distance, I often thought of her. I wish we had more time together. I wish I had the chance to see her again, to laugh, to catch up, to tell her how much that kindness meant to me.

Katie Eller was truly one of a kind, and the world feels a little dimmer without her in it. She made a difference in the lives of so many, and her absence will be deeply felt. Rest in peace, Katie—you were a light in this world, and your legacy of compassion and love will live on.
